Joss Whedon hints Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver to star in Avengers 2

Joss Whedon has teased fans that there will be two new characters in The Avengers sequel who will be brother and sister with rumours that it could be Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
The director told Yahoo! Movies that he has made some new additions to the line-up of superheros in the follow-up.
He said: ‘I’ve been writing and meeting with actors and we’re starting to storyboard, all the preliminary processes. This is the part where it’s all still fun.
‘I’ve got these two characters, two of my favourite characters from the comic book, a brother-sister act. They’re in the movie.’
Speculation is rife that the new characters are Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, early members of the Avengers in the comic books.
The siblings are Magneto’s twin children and originally appeared in the X-Men comics as villains before joining the Avengers team.
Scarlet Witch has the power to cast hexes to manipulate probability while Quicksilver can move and think at superhuman speeds.
Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner will reunite for the sequel.
The Avengers 2 is due out on May 1, 2015.
