Join Bath Festivals to debate, explore and celebrate the creativity of our writers, educators, children and young people at the:

If you are a teacher, librarian, parent, writer, artist or arts education professional who is passionate about reading and writing then this day is for you.
The day will begin with a keynote speech by our Artistic Director David Almond. This will be followed by breakout sessions where you can find out about some of the most exciting reading and writing projects happening in the country and explore new ways to inspire and engage children and young people. Create a poetry challenge with the Young Poets Network; discover how Arvon engaged bilingual children who lacked confidence in writing; see how Seven Stories used their unique archive of original manuscripts to enrich learning and much much more!

The Children As Readers, Children As Writers Conference is part of The Telegraph Bath Children’s Literature Festival, 10 days of celebrating and exploring the vibrant literature that sits right at the heart of our culture. The festival runs from 27thSeptember – 6th October 2013.
