More Danish Folk Tales is the second in a series of books that shares a unique collection of tales that have been collated from the rich history of Danish story telling.
The collection is derived from stories told by farmers, peasants and labourers who would tell these tales to their families and friends as a form of escapism from bleak working and living conditions.
Story telling was a form of entertainment, a way of bringing light to a dark day. Over many years the stories were collated by various enthusiasts whose interest was to share these unique tales.
Stephen Badman and John Herbert have spent many years researching the origins of the tales and have translated them into English.
Through their dedication they are able to share these very unique tales.
